Our Curriculum
Art and Creativity
We have a wide range of media materials to encourage children to share their thoughts, ideas and feelings through a variety of activities. These include, music and movement, role-play, dancing and mark-making.
Movement
Movement includes activities that will develop the child's fine and gross motor skills indoors and outdoors. We have a Forest School leader who takes the children outdoors to learn.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
This involves children understanding the world around them and their communities by giving them opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment.
Literacy
We encourage children to begin to read and write using phonetic sounds, story telling and through tracing letters for word-building.
Numeracy
Providing children with the opportunity to develop their counting skills, equation building and understanding shape, space and measure.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Children are encouraged through play and activities to manage their feelings and behaviour, self-confidence and self-esteem by overcoming challenges and building relationships with their peers.
